Fishing for thoughts

Today I decided to level up my fishing, so I spent time in Zangarmarsh, Winterspring and Azshara fishing. I used baubles even though after a while I was able to fish wothout needing them. I preferred to uset he baubles since the drastically raised my chances of catching fish and let's face it at 6-10 fish per skill point level I was not about to miss 2 out of every 3 casts. I like fishing when I can catch things that are interesting or when I can level quickly. Yet I also got a bettter idea of what the profession was designed to do. At high levels , especially when it;s abotu 10 fish per level with cooking and fishing a character never needs to buy food from merchants.
